Jason is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Senior Employee Assistance Professional who practically grew up at USC, after his father became a professor here in the 1970’s. Following graduation from University of California, Berkeley with a bachelor’s in anthropology, Jason attended the USC School of Social Work, earning his master’s with a concentration in industrial social work in 1994. After spending several years as a part-time contractor and adjunct professor at USC, he became permanent staff with CWFL in 2006.
Jason has extensive experience working with university faculty, staff and their families, as well as consultation with educational, health care, management-level, and legal professionals. He has facilitated focus groups and trainings for USC faculty; taught graduate-level social work courses; facilitated hundreds of workshops; supervised USC graduate student interns; and published numerous articles and videos promoting work and life balance, workplace behavioral strategies, and parenting. He consults fluently in Spanish.
Jason is credentialed by the International Coach Federation as a Professional Certified Coach. His areas of expertise include enhancing workplace communication and relationships, conflict management, stress reduction, and strengths development.
